The Red Deer Lodge announces the completion of their renovations
Red Deer, Alberta –The Red Deer Lodge and Conference
Centre, Red Deer’s Premier Three Star hotel and meeting centre, has just completed a
major renovation of their courtyard rooms.
The refresh to the 233-guestroom hotel and 22,000 square foot of conference centre, located
in the downtown core of Red Deer, started this June. The renovation included a major refresh
of all 124 courtyard guestrooms. The hotel owners, SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, invested
over three million in the courtyard refresh project.
The new courtyard rooms incorporate deep browns and vibrant variations of beige and soft
reds, accompanied by maple wood accents. They also include new artwork, lighting, luxurious
white bedding, granite countertops and whisper quiet, individual climate controls in each room.
These rooms also offer balconies and views of the tropical courtyard and pool. Also included
in the renovation is a high efficiency state of the art heating and cooling system to greatly
reduce the environmental footprint of the hotel, another focus of the renovation.
Now that the renovations are complete, the question is which room will guests choose? Guests
now have the choice between the newly refreshed courtyard rooms, or the spacious tower rooms.
While the courtyard rooms are all new, the tower rooms offer large desks and comfortable ergonomic
chairs, luxurious bedding and city and park views.

Red Deer Lodge and Conference Centre General Manager Gil Vallee. “We feel that this renovation
builds upon our reputation as Red Deer’s premier meeting and full service facility”.
To celebrate the renovations, the hotel is hosting the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce Business
After Hours event on September 30th 2008. The public is welcome to attend and the event will
include site tours of the new rooms and complimentary culinary creations.
